VDSL Voice Gateway
You can use the LEDs to verify status and connections. The following table lists and
describes each LED and button on the front panel of the gateway.
LEDs and
Buttons
Description
Power
Solid green. The gateway has power.
Blinking green. The
gateway is powering on.
Solid red.
The gateway is performing a self-test or the thermal cutoff circuit has been
triggered.
Off.
The gateway is not receiving power or is powered off.
LAN ports
Solid green. The gateway detects an Ethernet connection on one or more LAN ports.
Blinking green.
The gateway is sending data over one or more LAN ports.
Off.
The gateway does not detect Ethernet links on the LAN ports.
USB port
Solid green. The gateway detects an active link on the USB port.
Blinking green.
The gateway is sending or receiving data over the USB port.
Off.
The gateway does not detect a USB device connected to the USB port.
2.4 GHz
Solid green. The gateway detects a 2.4 GHz WiFi connection.
Blinking green.
The gateway is sending data over the WiFi link.
Off.
The wireless radio is turned off and you cannot connect to the gateway with WiFi.
DSL
Solid green. The gateway detects an active link on this port.
Blinking green.
The DSL WAN port is synchronizing with the DSL line.
Off.
The gateway does not detect a link on this port.
Voice 1 and 2
Solid green. The gateway detects links with telephones on this port.
Blinking green. At
least one telephone is off the hook.
Off.
The gateway does not detect a link on this port.
Internet
Solid green. The gateway is connected to the Internet.
Blinking green.
The gateway is sending or receiving data from the Internet.
Off.
The gateway is not connected to the Internet.
WiFi button
Pressing and holding this button for two seconds turns the wireless radio on and off.
WPS button
Pressing this button opens a two-minute window when you can use WPS on computers or
wireless devices to connect to the gateway’s WiFi network without typing the WiFi
password. The LED blinks during the two-minute window.
