What to do if Neurosign 100 shows no indicators light when power is switched on?
    • J
      juliemorrisAug 14, 2025
If no indicators light up on your Neurosign Medical Equipment after switching the power on, ensure the power switch is set to '1'. Check the power socket and voltage selector, and inspect the unit fuses.

What to do if I hear a loud noise when using electrocautery with Neurosign 100 Medical Equipment?
    • M
      Michael WilsonAug 18, 2025
If you experience loud noise when using electrocautery with Neurosign Medical Equipment, attach the mute sensor to the electrocautery cable. Bipolar diathermy shouldn't affect the device, but can also be muted if needed.

What to do if I have no response when using Stimulator with Neurosign Medical Equipment?
    • J
      John PerryAug 21, 2025
If you get no response when using the stimulator with Neurosign Medical Equipment: a) If a neuromuscular block has been used, set Frequency to 3Hz. b) If the neuromuscular block is deep, a response is unlikely. c) Check if the Current Confirm indicator is lighting. d) Increase the current setting up to a maximum of 1mA. e) Consider whether the patient had a normal nerve pre-operatively.

Why is the background theatre noise obscuring Neurosign 100 information?
    • A
      Alison MonroeAug 25, 2025
If background theatre noise is obscuring the information from your Neurosign 100, try increasing the volume or using headphones to improve clarity.

What to do if Neurosign 100 Medical Equipment shows constant clicking noise and bar graph display with no stimulation?
    • Z
      Zachary PearsonAug 28, 2025
If you experience a constant clicking noise and bar graph display with no stimulation, and the Electrode Warning indicator is on with a beep sounding on your Neurosign Medical Equipment, it means part of the bar graph has been lit for more than 20 seconds. The electrodes may be poorly placed or faulty, giving rise to artefact. Check electrode placement and condition before the patient is draped if possible.

What to do if Current Confirm indicator stays lit after Stimulation is finished on Neurosign?
    • B
      Brandon HarrisAug 31, 2025
If the Current Confirm indicator remains lit after stimulation on your Neurosign device, check for any liquid material between the probe tips and clean as necessary. Note that concentric probes may cause the indicator to stay lit for several seconds due to the proximity of the electrodes.

What to do if I am experiencing difficulty in differentiating between the two channels on Neurosign 100 Medical Equipment?
    • F
      Frederick HansonSep 3, 2025
If you are having difficulty differentiating between the two channels on your Neurosign Medical Equipment, set the INDENT feature to ON and ensure that the muscle group for each channel is noted.

What to do if there is no response at start of operation with Neurosign Medical Equipment?
    • S
      smithharrySep 7, 2025
If there's no response at the start of an operation with the Neurosign Medical Equipment, this is normal. It may take time to reach the nerve or tissue. If unsure, use the stimulator set at a high current (2-3mA) to check the area. A faint clicking may indicate the nerve lies deep to the probe.

What to do if I have little or no mechanically evoked responses with Neurosign Medical Equipment?
    • L
      Luis HuffmanSep 10, 2025
If you observe little or no mechanically evoked responses when using Neurosign Medical Equipment, and any neuromuscular block has been used, only direct electrical stimulation is likely to be heard. The train of four test is not a guarantee that the neuromuscular junction is free of blockade.
