CYLINDER DIESEL ENGINE - DISASSEMBLY AND OVERHAUL
Dismantle the engine following conventional
techniques,
or
by
referring to the following re-
moval procedure, referring to the "Specifica-
tion" section
as
necessary.
NOTE:
All
gaskets, seals
and
'O'
rings must
be
replaced with new, upon re-assembly.
Where
new
sealant is to
be
applied, refer to
"Engine Specifications".
CYLINDER
HEAD, VALVES AND
RELATED
PARTS
NOTE: The cylinder
head
can
be
removed
with the engine installed in the tractor.
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the engine side panels.

Drain the coolant from the radiator and
engine block.
Shut off heater hose taps, then discon-
nect and plug heater hoses (where fitted).
Remove the radiator top hose.
Remove exhaust muffler and exhaust ex-
tension pipe.
Remove the air cleaner pre cleaner.
Remove the air cleaner to intake manifold
tube and hoses.
Shut-off
fuel tank tap, disconnect low
pressure fuel lines and remove inlet mani-
fold (cap all exposed openings).
