Forsitestrippingpeelingorscraping,usedownpressure
withtheloaderattachmentleverintheloweredposition,
andaslightbucketangletostartthecut.Beginthecutat
thenotchapproximately50mm(1.97in)deepandhold
thedepthbyfeatheringthebuckettoadjustthecuttinglip
upordownasrequired.
Whenthemachinefronttiresenterthecut,adjustthelift
armstomaintainthecorrectdepth.
Makeadditionalcutsuntilthedesireddepthisreached.
Backgradetheworkingareaoccasionallywiththebucket
atandslightdownpressuretokeeptheworkingarea
smoothandfreefromrutsorholes.
Iftheloaderattachmentleverismovedforliftcylinderac-
tionwithoutcontrollingthebucketangle,thebucketmay
gougeandleaveaseriesofrutsinthesurface.

Leavethesoilinthebucketasemptyingthebucketon
eachpassistime-consuming,andleavesoilthatdrifts
overthesideofthebucketforthenalcleanup.
Onelengthwisecleanupisusuallysufcienttogainan
acceptablegradeafterbacklling.
Whenbackllingfromalargepile,shoveloffthetopofthe
pile,pushingtowardtheexcavation.
Dragsomesoilrearwardstoformaworkrampofthecon-
venientgrade.
Ifduringthebacklloperationthemachinefrontwheels
getstuckinatrenchdumpthebucketandapplydown
pressuretoliftthefrontwheelsfromthetrench.
Actuatethebucketasenginepowerisappliedtomove
themachinerearwards.
NOTE:Maximumbucketdownpressuremaybeobtained
byprogressivelyshiftingtheloaderattachmentlevertothe
right.
NOTICE:Thesafeworkingloadoftheloaderattachment
iscalculatedusingastandardbucket;therefore,when
usinganotherbucketorattachmentforliftingorhandling
aload,theweightofthebucketorattachmentmustbe
takenintoaccountwhencalculatingtheratedloadofthe
loaderattachment.
