WINTERFUEL
Atlowtemperatures,obstructionsduetoparafnprecipi-
tationsmaygenerateinthefuelsystem,whichcancause
engineanomalies.Whentheoutsidetemperaturedrops
below0°C(32°F),itisnecessarytousewinterfuel,which
canbeuseduptoatemperatureof-15°C(5°F)and
whichcanbepurchasedinllingstationssincethebe-
ginningofthecoldseason.Often,fuelwithadditives(Su-
perdiesel)isavailable,anditcanbeusedapproximately
uptoatemperatureof-20°C(-4°F).

Attemperaturesbelow-15°C(5°F)or-20°C(-4
°F),itisnecessarytomixitwithoil.Thenecessary
mixingpercentagescanbeobtainedfromthedia-
gramreportedheretotheside.
Incaseonlysummerfuelisavailableandtemperatureis
below0°C,fuelcanbemixedwithoilinthepercentages
reportedinthediagramanyway,inanycaseuptoamax-
imumof60%.

Fuelstorage
Prolongedstorageoffuelcanleadtotheaccumulationof
impuritiesandcondensationinthefuel.Enginetrouble
canoftenbetracedtothepresenceofwaterinthefuel.
Thestoragetankmustbeplacedoutsideandthetemper-
atureofthefuelshouldbekeptaslowaspossible.Drain
offwaterandimpuritiesregularly.
