Hydraulicsystem-lines
Checkthehydraulicsystemlinesforpossibleleaks.
Repairallhydraulicoilleakspromptlytoavoidlossofoil
andpossibledamageanddirtentryintothesystem.When
checkingforhydraulicleaks,startandoperatetheengine
at1200-1500RPM.
Removeandinstallnewhosesimmediately,iftheyarese-
verelydamagedbyacutorscrape,swollenatthettings,
orleaking.
ATTENTION:Ifleaksaredetected,stoptheengine,re-
leasethehydraulicsystempressureandcleartheproblem.
Donotunscrewhosesorttingswithoutreleasingthehy-
draulicsystempressurerst.
Ifahydraulichoseortubeisreplaced,thefollowingproce-
dureshouldbeobserved.
Loosenthettings(1)andremovethehoseortube,then
removeanddiscardtheO-ringseal(2).
ImmersethenewO-ringintocleanhydraulicoilbeforeas-
sembly.
InstallthenewO-ring(2)intothetting(1)andifnecessary,
retaininpositionusingpetroleumjelly.Assemblethenew
hoseortubeandtightenthettingnger-tight,whilehold-
ingthetubeorhosetopreventitfromturning.Thetube’s
orhose’sturningcoulddamagetheO-ring.
Usingtwosuitablewrenches,tightenthettingstospeci-
cation.
NOTICE:whenreplacingorassemblingapipeorhose,
makesurethatallelementsareperfectlycleanandfree
fromanytraceofdirt.Failuretoensureabsolutecleanli-
nesswillresultinthehose/pipeleakingafterinstallation
orpossibledamagetootherhydraulicsystemcomponents.

Toensurealeakfreejointisobtained,itisimportantthat
thettingsarenotovertorquedorundertorqued.
Whenreplacingahose,itisnecessarytobleedairfromthe
system.Forthispurpose,lettheenginerunat1200–1500
RPM,contemporarilyactuatingtheloaderandbackhoeat-
tachmentcontrolsfor15minoruntilairisbledfromthe
system.
