tiongogglesandsuitableclothes.

hands.Thiscouldgenerateanelectrolysisinsidethehu-
manbodyanddamagethebody’svitalorgans.
ATTENTION:Batteriesproduceexplosivegases.Topre-
ventanyriskofexplosion,observethefollowinginstruc-
tions:
-placethebatterymasterswitchintheOFFposition;
-whendisconnectingthebatterycables,alwaysdisconnect
thenegativecable(-)rst;
-whenreconnectingthebatterycables,alwaysconnectthe
negative(-)cablelast;
-nevershort-circuitthebatteryterminalswithmetalob-
jects;
-donotweld,grindorsmokenearabattery.
Keepopenamesawayanddonotsmokenearbatteries.
Alwaysprovidegoodventilationwhenchargingabattery
orusingabatteryinanenclosedspace.
ATTENTION:Beforecarryingoutanyweldingonthema-
chineorrepairworkontheelectricalcircuit,disconnectthe
batteryanddisconnecttheB+andD+wiresonthealter-
nator.Whenreconnecting,checkthewiremarkings.
CHARGECHECK
Measurethedensityoftheacidofthesinglecellswitha
commonlyavailablemeasuringdevice.
Themeasuredvalues(seetablebelow)indicatethecharge
statusofthebattery.
Whenmeasuring,thetemperatureoftheacidshouldbe+
20°C(68°F),ifpossible.
