Continuouslongtermcontactwithhydraulicuid
maycauseskincancer.Avoidlongtermcontactand
washtheskinpromptlywithsoapandwater.

Knowandunderstandthejobsitetrafcowpat-
ternsandobeysignalmen,roadsigns,andagmen.
•
Knowandusethehandsignalsrequiredforpartic-
ularjobs,andknowwhohastheresponsibilityfor

Knowandunderstandthatjobsiteconditionsmay
changeonanhourlybasis.Hillsofdirt,debris,or
obstructionsmaygrowandchangefromthetime

watches,longhair,andotherlooseorhangingitems
canbecomeentangledinmovingparts.

Wearprotectiveequipmentwhenappropriate.Hard
hats,protectiveglasses,protectiveshoes,gloves,
reectortypevests,respirators,andearprotection
areexamplesofequipmentthatmayberequired.

Walkaroundtheworkareabeforeyoustartand
lookforhazards.Noteandavoidallhazardsand
obstructionssuchasditches,undergroundlines,
trees,cliffs,overheadelectricalwires,orareas
wherethereisdangerofaslide.
•
Donotoperatethemachineifyoudonotfeelwell.
Thiscanbedangerousforyouandforthepeople
aroundyou.
•
Donotoperatethemachinewhileundertheinu-
enceofalcohol,drugs,orwhileotherwiseimpaired.
•
OSHArequirementsmakeittheemployer’srespon-
sibilitytofullyinstructeachoperatorintheproper
andsafeoperationofalloperativeequipment.Both
employerandemployeeshouldthoroughlyfamiliar-
izethemselveswiththismanualandtheAEMsafety
booklet.
