Putthestabilizersintheoperatingpositionbeforeyoulowertheboomandextendthedipper.The
frontofthemachinecanraiseabovethegroundandbecomeunstableifthestabilizersarenotdown
intheoperatingposition.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorseriousinjury.

Beforeyouraisethestabilizersfromtheoperatingposition,putthebackhoeinthetransportposition
orcompletelyretractthedipperandraisetheboom.Makesurethemachinetiresaretouchingthe
ground.Themachinecanbecomeunstablewhenthetiresarenotontheground.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorseriousinjury.

Alwayspositionthestabilizerpadsformaximumstability.Ifyoudignexttoabuilding,walletc.,changetheposition
ofthestabilizerpads.
Changethepositionofastabilizerpad:
1.Removearetainingringfromthepinoneachstabilizerpad.
2.Useahammeranddriftpinandremoveeachpin.
3.Putthestabilizerpadsintoposition.Forcorrectstabilizerpadposition,refertostabilizerpadpositionslaterinthis
section.
4.Installthepinsandretainingrings.
