Requirements
TheoperatormustmaintainappropriateDieselExhaustFluid(DEF)/AdBlue®levelsatalltimes.Noadditionalmain-
tenanceisrequired.
NOTICE:Prolongedidlingofthemachinewithnoloadformorethan6hwillcausedamagetotheSCRcatalyst.
NOTE:SeeyourNEWHOLLANDCONSTRUCTIONdealerforreplacementcomponentsandcleaningagents.
NEWHOLLANDCONSTRUCTIONrecommendsusingENGINEOILSEMI-SYNTHETIC10W-40.SeeRecommended
engineoilforoperatingtemperaturerangesforotherrecommendedengineoils,theiroperatingtemperatureranges
andtheirrequiredoilchangeinterval.

andproductsthatmeetthegivenspecications.Improperlyorincorrectlyperformedmaintenanceandrepairvoids
theequipmentwarrantyandmayaffectserviceintervals.
DieselExhaustFluid(DEF)/AdBlue®relling
TheDEF/ADBLUE®tank(1)islocatedontheleft-hand
sideofthemachine,onthefrontportionofthefueltank
assembly.
TheDEF/AdBlue®tankcap(1)canbeidentiedbythe
“blue”colorofthecap.Attingunderthecapprevents
theinsertionofadieselllnozzle.
NOTE:DEF/ADBLUE®tankcapacity13.2L(13.9USqt).
NOTICE:IfanyDEF/AdBlue®spillsorcontactsany
surfaceotherthanthestoragetanks,immediatelyclean
theaffectedsurfacewithclearwater.DEF/AdBlue®
willcausecorrosiononpaintedandunpaintedmetallic
surfaces,andmaydistortsomeplasticandrubbercom-
ponents.

ItisrecommendedthatDEF/AdBlue®llingequipmentshouldbeusedhavingallnozzle/pumpwiththecorrect
lengthanddiameter,triggeredbythemagnetinthetankllerneck,andwithoverllowcutout.
Thiswillensurethat:

Thescreeninthellerneckwillnotbedamaged.
•
ImpuritiesarenotenteringtheDEF/AdBlue®tank.ThestandardizedDEF/AdBlue®nozzlematchesthellerneck
diameter.
•
TheDEF/AdBlue®tankisnotoverlled,astheDEF/AdBlue®pumpwillstopwhentheDEF/AdBlue®tankisfull.
•
DEF/AdBlue®isnotpumpedinthefueltank,astheDEF/AdBlue®nozzlecannotpumpwhenthemagnetisnot
sensed.
NOTICE:IfawarninglighthasbeentriggeredforloworemptyDEF/AdBlue®,thesystemmustberesetbycycling
thekeyswitchOFFthenONafterrellingtheDEF/AdBlue®tank.
