1.Parkthemachineonrmlevelground.
2.PutalltransmissioncontrolsintheNeutralposition.
3.Engagetheparkingbrake.
4.Lowerthebuckettothegroundbutdonotapplydown
pressure;orraisetheloaderarmandengagethe
loaderarmsafetysupport.
5.Rotatetheoperatorseatintothebackhoeoperation
position.
6.Placethebackhoeinthestowedpositionwithswing
lockpininthelockposition.Ifapplicable,inserttheEx-
tendahoelockpin.Youmaychoosetorestthebackhoe
attachmentontheground.

7.Shutofftheengine.
8.TurnthekeyswitchtotheONpositionbutDONOT
starttheengine.
9.
Presstheemblemendofthebackhoeandstabilizer
controlswitchtoactivateallbackhoecontrols.
NOTE:WhenturningthebackhoeandstabilizercontrolswitchtotheONposition,waitapproximatelyhalfasecond
beforeactivatingthestabilizers,extendahoe(ifequipped)orbi-directionalauxiliaryhydraulics(ifequipped).Ifan
operatorattemptstooperatethefunctionsbeforethedelaypasses,thefunctionswillnotoperate.Cyclethepower
switchandwaitforthedelaytopass.
10.Ifequippedwithcomboauxiliaries,enablethebidirec-
tionalswitchontheright-handsidepanel.
11.Cyclethebi-directionalproportionalcontrolbuttonson
theleft-handpilotcontroljoystick.
12.Moveeachpilotbackhoecontroljoystickinonecom-
pletecircle,stoppingintheneutral(center)position.

13.Deactivatethebackhoeandstabilizercontrolswitch.
14.Rotatetheoperatorseatintothedrivingposition.
