Incoldweather
•
Makesuretouseuidsandlubricantswhichhavespecicationssuitableforoperationatlowambienttemperatures.
•
Checkthebatteriesforfullchargestate.
•
Fillupthefueltankaftercompletingthework,andthendrainwaterbeforestartingworkonthenextdayinorderto
preventdewcondensationandinvasionofwatertothefuelsystem.
•
Usefuelwhichisratedtotheoutsideairtemperature,orproperanti-freezeinordertopreventcrystalgenerationat
-2°C(28°F).
NOTICE:beforetransportingthemachinetoacoldregion,llthetankwithfuelthathasalowfreezingtemperature.
Inhotweather
•
Makesuretouseuidsandlubricantswhichhavespecicationssuitableforoperationathighambienttempera-
tures.
•
Keepthecoolantatthecorrectlevelinthecoolantreservoirandintheradiator.
•
UsethecorrectsolutionofOATEXTENDEDLIFECOOLANT/ANTIFREEZEinthecoolingsystem.
•
Testtheradiatorcapbeforehotweatherstarts.Replacethecapasrequired.
•
Cleanalldirtanddebrisfromtheradiator,coolerandenginearea.
•
Checktheconditionofthefandrivebelt.
Operationunderdustyandsandyconditions
•
Frequentlyinspecttheelementoftheaircleanerandcleanorreplacetheelementandthedustcupregardlessof
servicedue.
•
Tightlyclosethebreathercapofthehydraulictanktopreventinvasionofsandanddusttothehydrauliccircuits.
•
Makesuretothoroughlycleanthegreasettingsbeforegreasinganylubricationpointofeachpinandbush.
•
Makesuretocleantheradiatornandoilcoolernandtheradiatorgrid.
Operationonseashore
•
Inspecttightnessoftheplugs/cocks/boltsineachpointinordertopreventsaltcorrosion.
•
Thoroughlywashthemachineafterthework,especiallytakegoodcareoftheelectricalequipment,hydrauliccylin-
derandtracktensioncylindertopreventcorrosion.
•
Inspectandlubricatemorefrequently.Supplysufcientgreasetoreplacealloldgreaseinbearingswhichhave
beensubmergedinwaterforalongtime.
Operationinmud,water,orrainworksites
•
Keepthemachineasdryaspossibleduringoperationandmakesuretocarryoutregularlubrication.Moistureand
muddywatercausedeteriorationandcorrosionofpaints/wiring/metalcomponents.
•
Aftercompletingoperations,cleanmud,rocksordebrisfromthemachine.Inspectfordamage,crackedweldsor
loosenedparts.
•
Iftheoperationsareinsaltwaterorothercorrosivematerials,makesuretoushtheaffectedequipmentwithfresh
water.
Operationinrockyworksites
•
Checkfordamagetotheundercarriageandforlooseness,aws,wearanddamageinboltsandnut.
•
Loosenthetracktensionalittle(notoverthan10mm(0.4in))whenworkinginsuchareas.
•
Donotturntheundercarriagedirectlyoverthesharpedgerock.
