1-GENERALINFORMATION
Anyreplacementpartwhichisfunctionallyidenticaltotheoriginalequipmentpartinallrespectsmaybeusedinthe
maintenanceorrepairofyourengine,andshallnotreduceYANMAR’swarrantyobligations.Add-onormodiedparts
thatarenotexemptedmaynotbeused.Theuseofanynon-exemptedadd-onormodiedpartsshallbegroundsfor
disallowingawarranty.
WarrantedParts:
Thiswarrantycoversenginecomponentsthatareapartoftheemissioncontrolsystemoftheengineasdelivered
byYANMARtotheoriginalretailpurchaser.Suchcomponentsmayincludethefollowing:
A.Fuelinjectionsystem(includingAltitudecompensationsystem)
B.Coldstartenrichmentsystem
C.IntakemanifoldandAirintakethrottlevalve
D.Turbochargersystems
E.Exhaustmanifoldandexhaustthrottlevalve
F.Positivecrankcaseventilationsystem
G.ChargeAirCoolingsystems(only3TNV86CHT ,4TNV86CHT,4TNV94CHT)
H.ExhaustGasRecirculation(EGR)systems
I.Exhaustgasaftertreatment(dieselparticulateltersystem)
J.ElectronicControlunits,sensors,solenoidsandwiringharnessesusedinabovesystems
K.Hoses,belts,connectorsandassembliesusedinabovesystems
L.EmissionControlInformationLabels
Sinceemissionsrelatedpartsmayvaryslightlybetweenmodels,certainmodelsmaynotcontainalloftheseparts
andothermodelsmaycontainthefunctionalequivalents.
Exclusions:
Failuresotherthanthosearisingfromdefectsinmaterialorworkmanshiparenotcoveredbythiswarranty.Thewar-
rantydoesnotextendtothefollowing:malfunctionscausedbyabuse,misuse,improperadjustment,modication,
alteration,tampering,disconnection,improperorinadequatemaintenance,oruseofnon-recommendedfuelsand
lubricatingoils;accident-causeddamageandreplacementofexpendableitemsmadeinconnectionwithscheduled
maintenance.YANMARdisclaimsanyresponsibilityforincidentalorconsequentialsuchaslossoftime,inconve-
nience,lossofuseofequipment/engineorcommercialloss.
Owner’sWarrantyResponsibilities:
Astheoff-roadcompression-ignitionengineowner,youareresponsiblefortheperformanceoftherequiredmainte-
nancelistedinyourowner’smanual.YANMARrecommendsthatyouretainalldocumentation,includingreceipts,
coveringmaintenanceonyouroff-roadcompression-ignitionengine,butYANMARcannotdenywarrantysolelyfor
thelackofreceipts,orforyourfailuretoensuretheperformanceofallscheduledmaintenance.
YANMARmaydenyyourwarrantycoverageifyouroff-roadcompression-ignitionengineoraparthasfaileddueto
abuse,neglect,impropermaintenanceorunapprovedmodications.
Yourengineisdesignedtooperateondieselfuelonly.Useofanyotherfuelmayresultinyourenginenolonger
operatingincompliancewithCARBandEPAemissionsrequirements.
Youareresponsibleforinitiatingthewarrantyprocess.Youareresponsibleforpresentingyourenginetoanautho-
rizedYANMARdealerordistributorassoonasaproblemexists.Thewarrantyrepairsshouldbecompletedbythe
dealerasexpeditiouslyaspossible.Ifyouhaveanyquestionsregardingyourwarrantyrightsandresponsibilities,
orwouldlikeinformationonthenearestYANMARdealerorauthorizedservicecenter,youshouldcontactYANMAR
AmericaCorporation.
