Roadtransport-Overview
Observethefollowingprecautionswhendrivingthetractor.
•
Watchwhereyouaregoingatalltimes,especiallyatrowends,onroads,andaroundtrees.
•
Usethehazardwarninglights,roadlightsandSlowMovingVehicle(SMV)signwhentravellingonpublicroads,
dayornight.
•
DONOTpermitanyonebuttheoperatortorideonthetractor.
•
MakesurethePTOswitchisinthe"OFF"position.
•
Ifthetractorbecomesstuck,backouttopreventupsettingtheunit.
•
Alwaysusethedrawbarforpull-typework.Donotpullfromanyotherpartofthetractor,sinceitmaytipbackward.
NOTICE:Whentransportingonthehighway,asafetychainwithtensilestrengthequaltothegrossweightofthe
implementshouldbeconnectedbetweenthetractorandthetowedimplement.Thiswillcontroltheimplementinthe
eventthehitchpinislost.Afterattachingthesafetychain,checkitsadjustmentbydrivingthetractortotheright
andtotheleftforashortdistance.Readjusttotightenorloosenthechainasnecessary.Safetychainsandsuitable
hardwareareavailablefromyourNEWHOLLANDDealer.
NOTE:Procureattachinghardwarelocally.CheckimplementassemblyortheOperator'sManualforattachinghard-
warespecications,suchasboltsizeandgrade,chainstrength,washers,lockwashers,nuts,etc.

Reducespeedbeforeturningquicklyorapplyingbrakes.
•
Tomakeanemergencystop,depresstheservicebrakepedalsandreleasetheHydrostaticTransmission(HST)
pedals.
•
Neverapplythedifferentiallockwhenturning.
•
Useextremecautionandavoidhardapplicationsofthetractorbrakeswhenpullingheavy,towedloadsatroad
speeds.
•
Anytowedvehiclewithatotalweightexceedingthatofthetowingtractorshouldbeequippedwithbrakesforsafe
operation.
•
Alwayssitinthedriver'sseatwhilestartingordrivingthetractor.
•
Alwayscheckoverheadclearance,especiallywhentransportingthetractor.
