Hotcoolantcansprayandscaldifyouremovetheradiatorordeaerationtankcapwhilethesystem
ishot.Toremovethecap:allowthesystemtocool,turnthecaptotherstnotch,andwaitforall
pressuretorelease.Removethecaponlyafterallpressurehasreleased.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorseriousinjury.

Coolingsystem
Thetractorenginemustoperateatthecorrecttemperaturetoobtainmaximumefciencyandservicelife.Thisis
dependentonthecoolingsystem.
Onlycheckthecoolingsystemwhentheengineis“OFF”andthecoolingsystemiscool.Neveraddcoolanttoa
hotcoolingsystem.Neverremovetheradiatorcapwhenthecoolingsystemishot.
Alwaysllthesystemwitha50/50solutionofIATCOOLANT11–CLASSICantifreezeandwater.
NOTE:Yourtractorwasshippedwithconventionalethyleneglycolcoolant.Ifyouwishtochangetoadifferent
coolanttypeseepage7-2.
Checkingthecoolantlevel
1.Onlycheckthecoolantlevelwhentheengineiscold.
2.Visuallyinspectthecoolantlevelinthecoolantrecov-
erytank(1).Thecoolantlevelshouldbeatthefullmark
onthetank.
3.Ifthecoolantlevelisbelowthefullmark,adda50/50
antifreeze/watersolutionasnecessary,totherecovery
tank.
NOTICE:Thecoolingsystemalreadycontainsantifreeze,
addonlyanantifreezesolutionofthecorrectwater/an-
tifreezemixture.Purewaterwilldilutethesolutionand
weakenitsprotection.
4.Ifthereisnotcoolantinthecoolantrecoveryreservoir
removethecap(2)fromtheradiator.
5.Addenoughcoolanttotheradiatorsothecoolantlevel
isevenwiththebottomofthellerneck.
6.Installtheradiatorcap.
