NOTE:Cleanthelterelementafterevery50hoursofservice.Extremelydustyconditionsmayrequiremorefrequent
serviceintervals.
Theaircleaner(1)isaccessedbyopeningthetractor
hood.
Theaircleanerassemblycontainsoneelement.
1.T oremovethelterelement,releasetheclips(2)on
theendcap.

2.Removetheendcapfromtheaircleanerbodytoex-
posethelterelement(3).
3.Pullthelterelement(3)fromthecanister.Cleanany
loosedirtfromthecanisterandinspecttheendofthe
canisterfordirtwhichmaypreventthenewelement
fromsealingproperly.
4.Cleanthelterelementusinglowairpressure(2Kg/
cm²(30psi)orless).Blowdustfromtheinsideto
theoutsideoftheelement(oppositetonormalairow
throughelement).
NOTICE:Becarefulnottorupturethelterelement.Main-
tainasafedistancebetweentheairnozzleandthelter
elementwhendirectingairupanddownthecleanairside
oftheelementpleats.
NOTICE:Placealightinsidetheelementtocheckforpaper
leaksorforbondingofthepapertotheendplate.Ifany
leaksarefound,replacetheelement.
5.Aftercleaningthelterelement,checktheinnerdiam-
etersealsfordamage.Ifdamageispresent,replace
theelement.
6.Reinstallthelterelementbyinsertingitintothecan-
isterandpushingontheendoftheelementuntilitis
seatedagainstthecanister.
NOTE:Iflterelementisnotinsertedfarenoughintocan-
ister,theendcapcannotbeinstalled.
7.Placetheendcapontothecanisterbody,pushinon
theendcaptoseatitagainstthecanister.Lockthe
clipsandverifytheendcapissecure.
NOTICE:Nevertapthelterelementwithhardobjectsor
againstahardsurface.Thismaydentorbreaktheelement
endcapseals.
NOTICE:Failuretoobtainagoodsealbetweenelement
andthecanistermaycausemajorenginedamage.
