keybeforeservicing.Alwaysworkinawell-ventilatedarea.Cleanupspilledfuelimmediately.

Removetheenginesidepanel.Seepage7-3.

Thelocationofthefuellter(A)isontheright-handsideoftheengine.
1.Closethefuelshutoffvalvebyturningthefuelvalve
lever(1)onequarterturnintheclock-wisedirection.
2.Placeasuitabledrainpanbelowthefuellterbowl(6).
3.Loosenthemetalring(7)andremoveitfromthefuel
lterhousing.
4.Removethefuellterbowl(6).
5.Removethefuellterelement(2).
6.Installanewfuellterelement.
7.Cleananydirtorwaterfoundinthebottomofthefuel
lterbowl.Keepthewaterindicatorring(4)inthebot-
tomofthefuellterbowl.
8.InspecttheO-ring(5)andreplaceifnecessary.
9.Installthefuellterbowlbeingcarefultoalignthespring
(3)tothebottomofthefuellterelement.
10.Installthemetalringandtightenbyhand.
11.Openthefuelshutvalvebytuningthefuelvalvelever
onequarterturncounterclock-wise.
12.Bleedthefuelinjectionsystemasdescribedin7-39.
