4 - Sensitivity: allows you to select the sensitivity of the reading, between 1 (not very sen-
sitive) and 9 (very sensitive). The regulation range may be reduced as a result of use of giv-
en frequencies or in the case of very low loop inductance (few turns).
5 - Automatic sensitivity
: “automatic sensitivity” is normally turned on to permit correct
detection of truck trailers along their entire length, as the front part (driver’s cabin) is rela-
tively close to the ground and easy to detect while the trailer is higher and hard to detect
without greater sensitivity.
6 - Frequency
: to prevent interference between nearby detectors, it is possible to change
the frequency band; frequency may be modified within the following limits of Table 7.
7 - Direction logic
: when detection of the “direction of travel” is activated (on LP2 only), it
is possible that detection may take place in both directions or in just one direction.
8 - Configure Out 2
: If loop 2 is turned off, you may turn off the corresponding output.
9 - Power failure: used to turn on protection against power failures. This function saves
the present conditions before the power cuts out. When the power supply returns, the
detector compares the saved information and activates the outputs according to whether
the loop is active or not.
If this function is not active, the detector will be “recalibrated” when it comes back on,
acquiring data at that specific moment in time.
