Manual Focus
Manual focus can be used when autofocus does not produce the
desired results.

Select manual focus.

Display the manual focus guides.

Choose a magnification.
Select MF (manual focus; 0 99).
In the shooting display, press J to
magnify the view at the center of the
frame (this feature is not available dur-
ing movie recording or in slow-motion
movie mode). Manual focus guides
are also displayed.
Rotate the main command dial to
choose from magnifications of up to
about 10×.
