Attach the camera strap.

Open the battery cover.

Insert the battery.

Camera OFF.

Close the cover.

Open the memory card-slot
cover.

Insert the memory card into
the slot and close the cover.
Important: Memory cards
are labeled with an
arrow(s) showing the
direction of insertion. With
this label facing the back
of the camera (the side
with the monitor), insert
the card in the direction of
the arrow, sliding it in until
it is firmly in place.
Hold the cover shut, and slide
it to the closed position.
Pressing the battery-chamber
cover latch ⁄, slide the
battery-chamber cover out ¤
and flip it open ‹.
