Press the battery-chamber latch (
) and slide the cover in the
direction shown (
) until it opens (
).

Insert the batteries
Insert the batteries as shown in the label at the entrance to the
battery chamber, making sure that the positive (“+”) and negative
(“–”) terminals are in the correct orientation.

Close the battery-chamber cover
Close the cover (
) and slide it in until it latches (
).
