Focus area
If
the
camera detects a face
in
step
2:
• The camera focuses on the
area
framed
by
the
yellow
double
border (focus
area).
Once focus
has
been acquired, the
double
border turns green.
If
the
camera does
not
detect
any
faces:
• The camera automatically selects one or more
of
the
nine focus
areas
containing
the
subject
closest to the camera. When the subject
is
in
focus, D (the focus
area
that
is
selected)
is
displayed
in
green.
If
the
focus
area
blinks red,
the
camera will be unable
to focus. Change
the
composition and
press
the
shutter-release
button
halfway again.
Flash
lamp
The status
of
the
flash can be checked by pressing the shutter-release
button
halfway.
On
Flash
will fire
when
picture
is
taken.

* If
the
battery
is
low,
the
monitor
will turn off, and remain off, while the flash charges.

Press
the
shutter-release
button

rest

the
way
down
to
take
the
picture.
The shutter
is
released and
the
image will be saved
to
the
memory
card or internal memory.
Do
not
use force
when
pressing
the
shutter-release button,
as
this may
cause camera shake, resulting
in
blurred images.

tapping
the
subject
in
the
monitor
