Turn On the Camera
Press the power switch to turn on the camera.
• The
power-on lamp (green) will light and then the monitor
will turn on (the power-on lamp turns off when the monitor
turns on).
B Power Saving Function (Auto Off)
If no operations are performed for a while, the monitor will turn off, the camera will enter
standby mode, and
the power-on lamp will blink. If no operations are performed for another
three minutes,
the camera will turn off.
To reactivate the monitor while the power-on lamp is blinking, press any ofthe following buttons:
- Power switch, shutter-release button,
0 button, [E button, or • (.~ movie-record) button
Step 5 Choose a Language and Set the Camera Clock
A language-selection dialog is displayed the first time the camera is turned on. Tap
the monitor to choose a language and set the time and date.
Operating the Touch Panel
The COOLPIX 561 OO's monitor is atouch panel display. Operate
the touch panel with your finger or the supplied stylus.
Tapping (CD)
Tap the touch panel.
Use this operation to select a control or image.
The
shutter can also be released by tapping the monitor.
Dragging (0)
Drag your finger across the touch panel and remove it
from
the touch panel.
Use this operation to view the previous or next image
during playback.
