use the

split
image
rangefinder; turn the
focusing
ring
until

split
image becomes
whole

microprism collar;
turn the
focusing ring until
the
shimmering
image
becomes
sharp

taking close-ups or
macrophotography
or
shooting

telephoto
lenses of
maximum apertures

likely to
darken
