System malfunction

If the forward emergency braking system malfunctions,
it will be turned off automatically, the forward
emergency braking system warning light will illuminate.
Action to take:

If the warning light illuminates, park the vehicle in a safe
location, turn the engine off and restart the engine. If
the warning light continues to illuminate, have the
forward emergency braking system checked by a
NISSAN dealer.

emergency braking system is located on the upper
side of the windshield. To maintain the proper
operation of the forward emergency braking system
and prevent a system malfunction, be sure to observe
the following:
. Always keep the windshield clean.
. Do not attach a sticker (including transparent
material) or install an accessory near the multi-
sensing front camera unit.
. Do not place reflective materials, such as white
paper or a mirror, on the instrument panel. The
reflection of sunlight may adversely affect the
multi-sensing front camera unit’s detection cap-
ability.
. Do not strike or damage the areas around the
camera unit. Do not touch the camera lens or
remove the screw located on the camera unit. If
the camera unit is damaged due to an accident,
contact a NISSAN dealer.

ECO mode switch
The ECO mode system helps to enhance the fuel
economy by controlling the engine and CVT operation
automatically to avoid rapid acceleration.
NISSAN recommends using ECO mode.
To turn on the ECO mode system, push the ECO
mode switch. The ECO mode system indicator light
will illuminate on the vehicle information display.
To turn off the ECO mode system, push the ECO
mode switch again. The ECO mode system indicator
will turn off.
. The ECO mode system cannot be turned off while
the accelerator pedal is depressed, even if the
ECO mode switch is pushed to OFF. Release the
accelerator pedal to turn off the ECO mode
system.
. The ECO mode system will turn off automatically if
a malfunction occurs in the system.
. Turn off the ECO mode system when acceleration
is required, such as when:
— driving with a heavy load of passengers or
cargo in the vehicle
— driving on a steep uphill slope
