The ONT equipment is labeled with specific safety compliance information and instructions that are
related to a variant of the ONT. Observe the instructions on the safety labels.
The following table provides examples of the text in the various ONT safety labels.

This section describes the ONT compliance with North American safety standards.

2.2.1 EMC, EMI, and ESD standards compliance
The ONT equipment complies with the following requirements:
• Federal Communications Commission (FCC) CFR 47, Part 15, Subpart B, Subpart C, and
Subpart E, Class A requirements for OLT equipment
• EN 61000-4-4 Testing and measurement techniques - Electrical fast transient/burst immunity test
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
