8 Disassembly of inner expanded foam cheek padding
To make it even easier to wash the parts of the inner comfort padding, the cheek pads
on the helmet come with internal padding in expanded foam that can be removed
from the fabric lining cover. To remove this padding, proceed as follows after remov-
ing the cheek pads from the helmet (see instructions above).
8.1 Gently remove the inner expanded foam padding from the fabric lining cover of
the left cheek pad (Fig.13).
8.2 Repeat the same process with the right cheek padding.
Warning: once the inner expanded foam paddings have been removed from the
cheek pads, ensure that the rear snap button”D”, the top one “C” , the hook “A”
and the NERS safety lever “B” are correctly hooked to the rear frame of the fabric
lining of the cheek pads (Fig.14); otherwise position them again appropriately.
9 Liner disassembly
9.1 Release the rear left ap of the liner from the rear edge of the shell by gently
pulling the comfort padding towards the inside (Fig.15). Then repeat the process
also with the rear right ap.
9.2 Grasp the front left area of the liner and pull it upwards to remove the relative ap
from the support xed to the inner polystyrene shell (Fig.16). Then repeat this
process also for the centre and right forehead aps.
9.3 Completely remove the liner from the helmet.
10 Liner assembly
10.1 Correctly insert the liner into the helmet, lying it carefully on the bottom.
10.2 Insert the front left ap of the liner into the corresponding housing in the sup-
port xed to the polystyrene inner shell and push it downwards until it locks
completely. Then repeat this process also for the centre ap and the right ap
(Fig.16).
N.B.: check that the front area of the liner is assembled correctly by raising and
lowering the VPS, which should move freely. If not, repeat steps 9.2 and 10.2.
10.3 Insert the right and left rear aps of the liner in their respective housing on the
edge of the shell (Fig.15). Push the aps until they are completely hooked to the
support.
11 Assembly of inner expanded foam padding of the cheek pads
11.1 Gently insert the inner expanded foam padding into the left cheek pad fabric
lining cover (Fig.13). Carefully spread out the padding, checking that there are
no wrinkles in the cheek pad fabric cover.
11.2 Repeat the same process with the right cheek padding.
12 Cheek pad assembly
WARNING
- Take the left cheek pad and ensure that the rear snap button “D”, the top one
“C” , the hook “A” and the NERS safety lever “B” are correctly hooked to the rear
frame of the fabric lining of the cheek pad (Fig.14); In addition, check that the
NERS lever is free to turn, then place the lever in the opening position.
12.1 Insert the rear ap of the comfort padding of the left cheek pad into the cavity
between the rear seal and the inner polystyrene shell (Fig.12).
