TROUBLESHOOTING
Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and
follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please call our Customer Service Department toll-
free at 1-888-825-2588, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Mountain Time (excluding holidays).
PROBLEM: The power does not turn on
SOLUTION: a. Make sure that the powercordis plugged into a surge suppressor,and that the surge suppressor
isplugged intoa properlygroundedoutlet(see page 8). Use onlya single-outletsurge suppressor
that meets all of the specificationsdescribedon page 8. Important:The treadmillisnotcompatible
with GFCI-equipped outlets.
b. After the power cord has been pluggedin, make sure thatthe key isfully insertedintothe console.
c. Check the on/off circuitbreaker locatedon the
treadmill frame near the power cord. Ifthe switch
protrudes as shown, the on/off circuit breaker has
tripped. To reset the on/off circuit breaker, wait for
five minutes and then press the switch back in. Tdpped
Reset_
PROBLEM: The power turns off during use
SOLUTION: a. Check the on/off circuit breaker (see the drawing above). If the on/offcircuitbreaker has tripped,
waitfor five minutesand then pressthe switchback in.
b. Make sure that the power cord is plugged in. If the power cord is plugged in, unplugit, wait for five
minutes, and then plug it back in.
c. Remove the key from the console. Reinsertthe key fully intothe console.
d. If the treadmill stillwill not run, please call our Customer Service Department, toll-free.
PROBLEM: The displays of the console do not function properly
SOLUTION: a. Remove the key from the consoleand unplug the
power cord. Carefully tipthe treadmilldown as shown
in drawinga. Remove the Screws(83) from the hood.
Raise the Uprights(69) and carefullyremove the
hood.
Locatethe Reed Switch (10) and the Magnet (7) on
the left side of the Pulley (8). Turn the Pulley until the
Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure
that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed
Switch is about 1/8". If necessary, loosenthe Screw
(27) and movethe Reed Switchslightly.Retightenthe
Screw. Re-attach the hood, and run the treadmillfor a
few minutesto checkfor a correctspeed reading.
