Setting Speed (RPM)
Pump Speed Display
(1, Fig. 4-9)
NOTE: To prevent excessive wear, the pump speed should not
continuously fall below 5 min
-1
(rpm) or continuously exceed 80 min
-1
(rpm).
CAUTION: When a part is replaced, set the DIP switch for the Pump speed
display (1, Fig. 4-9) as indicated in the wiring diagram. Otherwise the speed
will be shown incorrectly.

Mode Switch
(2, Fig. 4-9)
External (melter inputs/outputs)
In this switch position, the melter receives all signals from the parent
machine or an external PLC, including the input signal Manual / key-to-line.
The pump speed can be set with the potentiometer (3, Fig. 4-9) from 0 to
100 min
-1
in key-to-line or from 0 to 50 min
-1
in manual mode.
The button Purge mode has no function when the switch is set to Ext.
Manual mode
The melter receives no external signals in this switch position.
A pump speed of 0 to 50 min
-1
can be set with the potentiometer
(3, Fig. 4-9) .
The switch must be in this position for purging to be possible.
Key-to-line
The only external signal that the melter receives in this switch position is the
line speed signal.
In key-to-line the motor/pump speed is regulated proportionally to the speed
of the parent machine. Calibrate the pump speed resulting from the signal
with the potentiometer (3, Fig. 4-9). It can be set from 0 to 100 min
-1
.
The button Purge mode has no function in this switch position.
