Step 13: Fluidics cleaning

For maintaining the analyzer fluidics please perform the following cleaning procedure.
The Icon-5 has the Hard Cleaning options for both WBC and RBC measuring channel.
Perform both using the Norma-iOptiClean and Norma-iHClean cleaning solutions.
In case of older SW version analyzer perform the following steps:
Norma-iHClean or similar solution is needed for this process.
Take the Norma-iHClean (or hypochlorite) solution and immerse the diluent pickup tube
into it.
- Run diluent prime 3 times and go to service level.
- Run 5 stress and take out the diluent pickup tube from the cleaning solution.
- Run prime diluent 3 times while the diluent pickup tube is open to air.
- Rinse the pickup tube with DI water and put it back into the diluent container.
- Run Diluent prime 3 times.
- Run 10 stress cycles. PLT background should be decreasing near to 0.
This cleaning process will clean off all inner tubing and component related to diluent
reagent.
