11.3.21. Warning F8: Automatic Tuning Error
 The command AT (Automatic tuning) automatically estimates the load moment of inertia.
The warning F8 occurs when the automatic tuning could not complete estimation of the load moment of
inertia.
 Indication on the terminal identifies the cause.

The Motor rotated more than 30° during
automatic tuning.
 Remove external interference.
 Mount the Motor so that the Moro axis is vertical.
(Eliminate the effect of gravity.)
 Tune the servo gains referring to “5.3. Tuning
Level 2: servo Gain Tuning” instead of automatic
tuning.
OVER INERTIA WRN.?
The load moment of inertia is too much.
 Remove the cause of excessive friction resistance or
mechanical interference that locks the Motor.
 Reduce the load moment of inertia.
Refer to “Table 3-4: Recommended load moment of
inertia of Megatorque Motor”
CAN’T TUNE?
Cannot perform automatic tuning
 Remove the cause of external interference.
 Mount the Motor so that the Moro axis is vertical.
(Eliminate the effect of gravity.)
 Increase rigidity of the load.
 Tune the servo gains referring to “5.3. Tuning
Level 2: servo Gain Tuning” instead of automatic
tuning.
ALARM DETECTED?
An alarm or a warning is occurring.
 Take measures against the cause of the alarm or the
warning.
CANCELED?
The input STP (Stop) is activated, or the BS
key of the terminal is pressed.
 Confirm if the input STP is active or the BS key is
pressed.
(1) The input ACLR (Alarm clear) or the command CL (Clear alarm) clears the warning.
