Post-use Maintenance
6 – 1 Preparation for maintenance

Wear eye protection glasses, a mask, and
gloves to prevent infection�

Turn off the control unit�

Remove the motor handpiece cord plug from
the control unit�
WARNING
● Maintain the contra angle head and the file properly as follows� Improper maintenance may cause
infection, product failure, and injuries from overheating:
– Be sure to clean the contra angle head and the file immediately (within 30 minutes) after use
to remove residue�
– Be sure to disinfect the contra angle head and the file, within 2 hours after cleaning�
CAUTION
● Do not clean, immerse, or wipe the product with electrolyzed-oxidizing water (strong acidic water,
super acidic water), strong acidic and strong alkaline liquid solution, solvent containing chlorine,
benzene, or thinner�
● Follow any additional local directives, standards, and guidelines for cleaning, disinfection,
lubrication and sterilization�
6 – 2 Cleaning and disinfection

[Cleaning of Casing]

Remove the file from the contra angle head�

Remove all debris on the surface of the
product with wipes (Minuten Wipes:ALPRO)�
3
Remove the disposable barrier sleeve from
the contra angle head and the motor
handpiece�
4
Remove the contra angle head from the
motor handpiece�
5
Wipe the debris on the surface of the contra
angle head with a cloth moistened with
water�
