10-2 Changing the Irrigation Pump
1) Remove the Irrigation Bottle, the Chamber, Power Cord, Handpiece Cord and Foot
Control from the Control Unit.
2) Turn over the Control Unit. Use a cross-head screwdriver to remove the screw on
the Irrigation Pump Cover and remove the Cover. (Fig. 49).
3) Remove two Irrigation Tubes from the Control Unit (Fig. 50).
4) Remove the Connector Ring from the Irrigation Tube. Do not dispose of it. You can
use the Ring on the replacement Irrigation Pump (Fig. 51).
5) Turn the Irrigation Pump counterclockwise until it clicks, and then pull it out
(Fig. 52).
6) Mount the Connector Rings in the Irrigation Tubes of the new Irrigation Pump
(option). Make sure the Ring is oriented correctly (Fig. 53).
7) Align the new Irrigation Pump (option) with the Drive Shaft. Turn clockwise until it
clicks (Fig. 54).
8) Mount the Irrigation Tube by following the removal procedure in reverse. Press the
Connector Ring firmly into the Control Unit until it is fully pressed on (Fig. 50).
9) Align the Irrigation Pump Cover Hook and hole on the Control Unit. Mount the
Cover.
