Power on the HDX while holding the eject button. The HDX will prompt you to insert a firmware update
CD. Insert the firmware update disc and choose the “update with format” option. This will update or
reinstall the operating system and format the hard drive, erasing all files from the hard drive.
After doing this, turn the HDX off, reconnect it to your computer via USB and try to copy the audio data
back to the HDX from your computer.
