SUPER
DELUXE
RADIO
The
Super Deluxe
Radio
incorporates the latest in electronic design. Tuning
can
be accomplished by four methods:
1)
in the conventional manner
(manual
control knob),
2)
by using the individual
push
button
controls, 3)
the tuning bar,
4)
the foot tuning switch.
Left
hand
outer
and
inner
controls
are
the
on-off
switch
and
tone control,
respectively.
The
push
bar
,.
directly above the
radio
dial
or
the foot tuning switch, operates
the
"signal
seeker."
When
the
push
bar
is depressed
or
released,
any
station
previously selected is rejected,
and
the next available
station
is automatically
tuned
in. Depressing the foot
tuning
switch,
located
directly below the head-
light dimmer switch, will give the same
automatic
"signal seeker" tuning pro-
vided
an
individual push
button
is
not
depressed.
If
an individual
button
is
de-
pressed, the foot tuning switch will select only the push
button
station, and the
push bar should first be fully depressed
to
release the individual buttons.
The
conventional
manual
tuning control
is
operated by the outer right knob,
while the
station
sensitivity control is operated by the inner right knob. The
latter
control
is
labeled
"more
stations"
and
has
four
positions.
With
the
control fully to the left
or
counter-clockwise position, only the strongest sta-
tions will be tuned in automatically by the push
bar
or
the foot tuning
switch. As the control is
rotated
to the right,
medium
strength stations are
tuned
in
and
with
the
control
fully
to
the
right
or
clockwise position, all
a vailable stations will
be
tuned
in automatically.
The
inner
right
knob
has
no
effect
when
tuning manually in the conventional
manner
with push but-
ton
tuning.
