7.1 - CLEANING
7.1.1 - APPLIANCE AND REMOTE CONTROL CLEANING
Use a dry cloth to clean the appliance and the remote control.
It is possible to use a cloth moistened with cold water to clean the appliance if it is very dirty.
Suck between the air inlet and outlet grilles.
Do not use a chemically treated or antistatic cloth to clean the appliance.
Do not use gasoline, solvent, polish or similar solvents.
These products could cause the breakage or deformation of the plastic surface.
7.1.2 - CLEANING THE AIR FILTER
Toensureeffectiveinternalairltrationandsatisfactoryoperationofyourair
conditioner,theairlterhastobecleanedperiodically.
Theairlterisatthetopoftheunit.
UNICOlterextraction:
a. Electrically disconnect the appliance.
b. Switchofftheunitandwaitfortheclosureofthesuctionap.
c. Manuallyraisetheairsuctiongrille(3)(g.43).
d. Raisethefrontpartofthelter(F)andslightlypullittowardsyourself(g.43).
e. Extractthetwoadditionallters(g.44)fromtheltergroup(F):
 (greenpurifyinglterref.F1-blackactivecarbonslterref.F2).
f. Perfectlywashanddryallthelters.
Filter reassembly:
g. Reassembletheltersgroup(F1-F2)insertingtherearedgeinsidethegrid.
h. RManuallyclosetheairsuctiongrille(3)(g.45).
To deactivate LED A (if on), after having powered and started the appliance, press the micro key positioned on
thesignalconsolewithapointyobjectforabriefinstant.Bydoingso,thesignalrelatedtotheltercleaning
requirement is reset.
WALLlterextraction:
a. Lifttheindoorunitpaneluptoanangleuntilitstopswithaclickingsound(g. “40” ).
b. Takeholdofthehandleoftheairlterandliftitupslightlytotakeitoutfromthelterholder(g.“40a”),
thenpullitdownwards(gura“40b”).
c. Removetheairlter.
d. Cleantheairlterusingasuctiondeviceorwashitwithwaterandthendryitinacoolplace.
e. Removetheelectrostaticlter(ifsupplied)andtheactivecarbonlter(ifsupplied)fromtheairlter.
Do not touch this Electrostatic Filter within 10 minutes after opening the inlet grille,
it may cause an electric shock.
f. Clean the Electrostatic Filter with mild detergent or water and dry in the sunlight for two hours.
g. Inserttheelectrostaticlteragain(ifsupplied)+theactivecharcoallter(ifsupplied).
h. Inserttheupperpartoftheairlterintotheunit,payingattentionthattheleftandrightedgesarecorrectly
alignedandthenre-positionthelterintherelevantseat(gure“40c”).
i. Closethepanelwell,takingitbacktoitsoriginalposition(gure“42”).
