Once you delete a file, you cannot recover any information that was once contained in
that file.
To delete a file stored in the Magna-Mike 8600
1. In the measurement screen, press [FILE], and then select DELETE.
2. In the FILE DELETE screen (see Figure 7-12 on page 127), select the file to be
deleted in the list.
3. Set the DELETE MODE to DATA to only delete the contents of the file.
OR
Set the DELETE MODE to FILE to completely erase the file from the memory.
4. Select DELETE to perform the operation and return to the measurement screen.

When you select to delete files that are delete-protected, the Magna-Mike 8600 will
display the following message: “File delete protection is ON!”.
