I f the w ater pipe s are n ew o r have n ot been used f or an e xtended period of ti me , let the
w ater run to make sure that t he wat er i s clea r. This p recauti on i s need ed to avoi d the
r isk o f the water in let t o be blocked and d amage th ea pplian ce.
Th e w ater s upply to the applianc e ca n a lso b e connec ted to th e ho use hold hot water
line (such a s, c entral system, heatin g s ystem ),as l ong as i t does no t exceed a
temper ature of 60 C . In t his case, the w ash c ycle time wil l be s hor tene d b y abo ut 1 5
minutes and the wash efficiency slightly reduced.
Th e co nnection must be ma de to the hot water lin e fo llowi ng the s ame proce dures as
describedi nthe section for the c onnection to the cold water line.
Improper connection of the equipment earthing conductor can result in the risk of an
electric shock.
Check with a qualified electrician or service representative if you are in doubt whether the
appliance is properly earthed.
Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance. If the plug does not fit properly to the

Insert the drai n h ose i nto a drain pi pe wi th a mini mum di ameter o f 4 c m, or let it run into t he sink, making sure to
avoid bendin gor crimping. Use the special plastic support that comes withthe appliance. The top of the hose
must be a t a h eight be tween 40 and 100 cm.The free end of th e ho se m ust not be i mmersed in w ater.
