9 Caring for your system
Storing your system
Store your meter, test strips, control solution and other
items in your carrying case. Keep in a cool, dry place
between 5°C and 30°C. Do Not refrigerate. Keep all
items away from direct sunlight and heat. Exposure
to temperatures outside the storage limits, as well as
moisture and humidity, may cause inaccurate readings.
Cleaning and disinfection
Cleaning and disinfection are different and both
should be performed. Cleaning is part of your normal
care and maintenance and should be performed prior
to disinfection, but cleaning does not kill germs.
Disinfection is the only way to reduce your exposure to
