Overview

This document describes the Oral-B Aqua Care portable oral irrigator, designed for personal oral hygiene. It provides detailed instructions for use, maintenance, and important safety information.

Function Description

The Oral-B Aqua Care is a portable oral irrigator designed to clean between teeth and along the gumline using a pressurized water stream. It offers two primary jet stream types: a rotating stream for general cleaning and gum massage, and a focused stream for targeted cleaning. Users can choose between continuous jet stream or on-demand single jet stream, and adjust the intensity level (sensitive, medium, or intense) to suit their comfort and cleaning needs. The device is intended for personal use and is not suitable for multiple users in a clinical setting.

Important Technical Specifications

The device operates on a rechargeable battery, with a full charge typically taking 14 hours. The charger unit's voltage specifications can be found on its base. The noise level of the irrigator is 68 dB (A). The water reservoir has a capacity of 150 ml. The product contains non-replaceable batteries. The charger type is 3726, and the handle type is 3720. The irrigator nozzle is manufactured in Hungary, while the handle and charger are made in China.

Usage Features

To begin, attach the nozzle (a) to the handle (g) until it locks with a "click" sound. Fill the water reservoir (j) with fresh, lukewarm water by lifting the reservoir cap (i). The device should be held over a washbasin, and the on/off button (c) pressed to allow water to run through the nozzle, ensuring proper flushing, especially if unused for over a week.

The jet stream type can be selected by sliding the jet switch (b) up or down. The lower position activates the rotating stream, which combines water with micro-bubbles for gentle penetration and gum massage. The upper position activates the focused stream, designed for targeted cleaning with micro-bubbles.

For a continuous jet stream, press the on/off button (c). For a single, on-demand jet stream, press the on-demand button (d); the stream stops when the button is released. The intensity level can be adjusted by pressing the intensity selection button (f) successively. Available levels are sensitive, medium, and intense. The last selected intensity level is memorized for subsequent uses. It is recommended to start with the sensitive level to acclimate to the device.

When using the irrigator, lean over the sink and direct the nozzle into the mouth, closing lips slightly to allow water to drain into the sink. Guide the jet along the gumline, pausing briefly between teeth, or target specific areas with the on-demand button. The water reservoir may need to be refilled multiple times to complete a thorough cleaning of the entire mouth.

Maintenance Features

After each use, ensure the water reservoir is completely empty. Press the on/off button (c) and leave it on until no more water runs through the nozzle to prevent deposit buildup or bacterial growth. Once empty, turn off the irrigator. To drain any remaining water from the handle, hold it over a washbasin and tilt it from side to side.

To remove the nozzle for cleaning or replacement, press the release button (h) and pull the nozzle (a) simultaneously. The water reservoir cap (i) should be lifted to allow the reservoir to air-dry. Always wipe the handle and nozzle dry. It is crucial to empty the water reservoir before storing or traveling with the irrigator.

The water reservoir (j) is dishwasher-safe and can be detached from the handle by releasing the snap-fit on the bottom. Move the lever and slide the reservoir down to remove it. The charger and handle should be cleaned regularly with a damp cloth. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place. It is generally recommended to replace the nozzle every 3 months.

The product contains batteries and/or recyclable electronic waste. For environmental protection, do not dispose of it in household waste. Instead, take it to designated electric waste collection points in your country for recycling. Instructions are provided for safely removing the battery for disposal, but opening the handle will destroy the appliance and invalidate the guarantee.

Periodically check the entire product and cord for damage. If any damage is found, the product should be taken to an Oral-B Service Centre for repair. Do not modify or repair the product yourself, as this may lead to fire, electric shock, or injury.

The oral irrigator is not intended for use by children under 8 years old. Children aged 8 and above, as well as individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience, may use the product under supervision and with proper instruction. Children should not play with the appliance, and cleaning or user maintenance should not be performed by children.

Only use liquids specified in the manufacturer's instructions. Avoid using iodine, saline solutions, or water-insoluble concentrated essential oils, as these can reduce product performance, shorten its lifespan, and potentially void the warranty.

The product comes with a 2-year guarantee from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials or workmanship. This guarantee does not cover damage from improper use, normal wear and tear (e.g., brush heads), or minor defects that do not significantly affect the product's value or operation. The guarantee is void if repairs are performed by unauthorized persons or if non-original Braun parts are used. To claim warranty service, submit the complete appliance with your sales receipt to an authorized Oral-B Braun Customer Service Centre.
