Unpacking and Assembly
NOTE: If the button does not release completely
in the positioning hole, the shafts are not locked
into place. Slightly rotate from side to side until
the button is locked.
Tighten the knob securely.
WARNING: Make certain the device is fully
tightened before operating equipment; check
it periodically for tightness during use to
avoid serious personal injury.
REMOVING THE ATTACHMENT
FROM THE POWERHEAD
Stop the motor, remove the battery pack, and
engage the transportation lockout.
Loosen the knob.
Push in the button and twist the shafts to
remove and separate the shaft.
INSTALLING THE EXTENSION TO
THE POWERHEAD (FIG. B)
WARNING: A battery operated tool
with the battery pack inserted can start
accidentally. Remove the battery pack before
assembling or performing maintenance.
The extension connects to the powerhead with a
coupler device.
Stop the motor and remove the battery pack.
Loosen the knob of the coupler on the
powerhead tube and remove the end cap from
the extension.
Press the button located on the extension.
Align the button with the guide recess on the
powerhead coupler and slide the extension with
the powerhead. Rotate the extension until the
button locks into position.
Do not use two extensions with the hedge
trimmer attachment.
NOTE: If the button does not release completely
in the positioning hole, the shafts are not locked
into place. Slightly rotate from side to side until
the button is locked.
Tighten the knob securely.
WARNING: Make certain the device is fully
tightened before operating equipment; check
it periodically for tightness during use to
avoid serious personal injury.
Connect the attachment shaft to the extension
following the instructions in "Installing an
Attachment to the Powerhead".
FIT THE HARNESS (FIG. C)
Put on shoulder strap.
Adjust length of strap. The carabiner should be
about a hand’s width below operator’s right hip.
Detach harness by pressing down on the
carabiner bar and pull the harness loop out of
the carabiner.
