3.2 General Safety Instructions
CAUTION
Unallowable combination of prosthesis components
Fall due to breakage or deformation of the product
► Only combine the product with prosthesis components that are
approved according to the section "Combination Possibilities".
► Based on the instructions for use of the prosthesis components, verify
that they may be combined with each other.
CAUTION
Exceeding the service life and reuse on another patient
Fall due to loss of functionality as well as damage to the product
► Ensure that the approved service life is not exceeded (see section
"Service Life").
► Only use the product for a single patient.
► Inform the patient.
CAUTION
Contact with heat, embers or fire
Injuries (e.g. burns) caused by melting of the material
► Keep the product away from open flame, embers and other sources of
heat.
► Inform the patient.
NOTICE
Use under unallowable environmental conditions
Damage to product due to unallowable environmental conditions
► Do not expose the product to unallowable environmental conditions
(see the section "Environmental Conditions").
► If the product has been exposed to unallowable environmental condi
tions, check it for damage.
► If damage is apparent or in case of doubt, do not continue using the
product.
► Take suitable measures if required (e.g. cleaning, repair, replacement,
inspection by the manufacturer or a specialist workshop etc.).
► Inform the patient.
