When
you
rub
out
a
mis-typed
character,
the
packet
controller
will
attempt
to
correct
the
screen
display.
If
your
display
doesn’t
look
right
after
you
rub
out
a
character,
try
setting
BKondel
OFF,
The
packet
controller
will
not
ty
to
correct
the
display
but
will
indicate
the
rubout
with
a
“\”
character
(<BACKSLASH
>
).
You
can
restore
display
correction
by
setting
BKondel
ON.
If
you
want
to
cancel
a
whole
line
rather
than
rubbing
out
the
characters
one
at
2
time,
<CTRL-X
>.
The
controller
will
display
a
<
BACKSLASH
>
followed
by
<
CR
>
and
(in
Com-
mand
Mode)
a
new
prompt:
cmd:Hi,
John,
how
ar<CTRL-X>
\
[You
started
typing
text
while
in
cmd:
Command
Mode.
The
cancel-line
character
can
be
changed
to
any
ASCII
charac-
ter
by
the
command
CANline.
If
you
have
changed
your
input
by
rubbing
out
and
retyping
characters,
you
may
want
to
see
a
“fresh”
copy
of
your
input,
especially
if
BKondel
is
set
OFE
Type
<
CTRL-R>
to
have
the
controller
retype
the
line
you
are
entering.
