• To assign the entry to one or more categories, select Categories and
check the categories under which you want this entry to appear.
• To assign a ringtone to the entry, select Ring tone and select a tone.
5. To add a note to an entry, select the Notes tab.
6. After you enter all the information, press OK .
Dial by contact name
1. Go to your Today screen.
2. Using the keyboard, begin entering one
of the following for the contact you want to
call:
• First name (JOH for John)
• Last name (SMI for Smith)
• First initial, a space, and then last initial (J
S for John Smith)
• First name and last name
(JOH SMI for John Smith)
For example, entering SM finds both Smilla Anderson and John Smith.
Entering SMA finds only Smilla Anderson.
3. Several options for contacting the person are displayed, depending on
what information you have entered for the contact. Highlight the phone
number you want to dial for the contact.
4. Press Phone/Send or press Center to dial.
