1 Go to your Today screen.
2 Press Menu (right action key),
select Preferences, and then select
Phone Settings.
3 Select the Services tab, and then select
Call Waiting from the list.
4 Check the appropriate box to receive
notification or not.
5 Press OK .
Manually selecting your wireless band
The wireless band setting is preset for
optimum performance. Do not change this
setting unless instructed to do so by a
Cingular representative.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN Make sure your
phone is on and that you’re inside a
coverage area (see Turning your phone on
).
1 Go to your Today screen.
2 Press Menu (right action key),
select Preferences, and then select
Phone Settings.
3 Select the Services tab, and then select
Band Selection from the list.
4 Select the Select network type list,
and and select one of the following:
Auto: Automatically selects a network.
GSM: Connects only to GSM networks.
UMTS: Connects only to UMTS
networks.
5 Select the Select your GSM/UMTS
Band list, and then select one of the
bands:
Auto
GSM (900+1800) + UMTS 2100
GSM (1900+850) + UMTS (1900+ 850)
6 Press OK .
