Diagnosis Procedures and Cause
Measures to be Taken
The voltage is present
Is there no loosened connection of the wire connected to the terminal?
(H11 may be displayed due to imperfect wire connection.)
When the air conditioner is operated after the power is OFF and then ON, is the
following voltage present between the white and black terminals on the outdoor unit?
Check if DC40 – 55V is present between the white and red terminals when
the red wire (communication wire) is disconnected from the outdoor unit
terminal.
Check for bad connection of the connector of the outdoor unit reactor.
1
Remove the red wire (communication wire) from the outdoor unit terminal.
2
Connect a resistor (10 – 15kΩ) between the white and red terminals.
3
Short-circuit between CN –S terminals on the outdoor unit control board
using a clip, etc.
4
Supply AC current to the outdoor unit (operate the air conditioner).
Check the operations of the outdoor fan motor and compressor when AC
current is supplied.
Check for disconnection of the wire, or check the insulation
resistance between red-white, red-black and white-black.
Is there continuity between the indoor unit terminal (white) and
TAB2 connected to the indoor unit control board?
Fix the problem.
Replace the indoor unit terminal.
Replace the indoor unit control
board.
Replace the wire for connection.
Check the connected wire and if
there is no problem, replace the
indoor unit control board.
Fix the problem.
Replace the reactor.
Replace the outdoor unit control
board and expansion valve coil at
the same time.
Replace the outdoor unit control
board.
Is the reactor of the outdoor unit open-circuited?
Is the expansion valve coil of the outdoor unit short-circuited?
The voltage is present
Outdoor unit fan motor &
compressor work
