Screen Operation
Cannot operate the touchscreen.
If the screen is wet with water drops, wipe them off.
When using this computer in the state where the screen is wet, wipe water drops. Then turn the
computer on, set touch panel mode to [Touch (Water)] in “Touch Screen Mode”.
Before the computer turn on, wipe water drops.
The pointer does not work.
If the computer does not respond to keyboard commands, read “No response.”
Cannot point the correct position using fin-
gers or the dedicated pen (optional).
Perform the Calibrating the Screen.
When using a pen, please use the dedicated pen (optional).
You may not be able to point to the correct position on the Windows sign in screen when using
the pen (optional).
In such cases, use your fingers to sign in.
microSD Memory Card
Cannot use a microSD Memory Card.
Set [microSD Card Slot] to [Enabled] in the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility.
This computer does not support the maximum speed some types of microSD/-
microSDHC/microSDXC Memory Cards guarantee.
Smart Card (only for model with Smart Card slot)
Cannot use a Smart Card.
Insert the Smart Card correctly.
Set [Extension Port] to [Enabled] in the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility.
To use a Smart Card, you need a specified software and driver.
Barcode Reader (only for model with Barcode Reader)
Reading is not possible.
Confirm that the barcode isreadable (without damage, etc.). Confirm that the barcode (sym-
bology) isreadable. If the barcode is Codablock A or ISBN, for example, configure the code so
that it is readable using the Barcode Configuration Utility.
Confirm the area for reading. The distance from the reader to the barcode isimportant. As a
rule of thumb, a farther distance should be used for a larger symbolto allow the light to cover the
symbol. In addition, a closer distance should be used for a thinner symbol.
Be sure the barcode is not placed closer than necessaryto the reader.

Set [A Button] to [Barcode Reader Trigger] in the [Tablet Button Configuration] of [Main] menu
of the Setup Utility.

Set [Rotation Lock Button] to [Barcode Reader Trigger] in the [Tablet Button Configuration] of
[Main] menu of the Setup Utility.
Set [Extension Port] to [Enabled] in the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility.
User Switching
Some applications do not work properly.
When switching to a different user without signing out, some applicationsdo not work properly.
In thiscase, sign out the other users.
Others
Although the computer isturned on, the fol-
lowing problems occur.
The indicators do not light.
No sound.
Screen is dark.
The concealed mode is enabled ( Concealed Mode).
