Recording still pictures
The number of pixels recorded for still pictures is [ 1920#1080] (16:9). Still pictures can also be
recorded while recording motion pictures.
Rotate the mode dial while at the same time pressing in the lock release button if changing from
OFF to another mode.
Align with the status indicator !.
1 Rotate the mode dial to select

2 Set the LCD/EVF select switch to
LCD or EVF. ( 31)
Open the LCD monitor when it is set to LCD.
3 Select the media to record from
the menu. ( 24)
You cannot set the recording media for motion
pictures and still pictures separately.
4 Press the button halfway.
(For auto focus only)
Focus indication appears and the
unit focuses on the subject
automatically. (Focus on a subject
manually when it is not easily
focused automatically. 66)
If you set the optical image stabilizer function
( 45) to on, then the image stabilizer function
will be more effective. ([ ] (MEGA
optical image stabilizer) will be displayed.)
