8.1 Using Push Scan
8.1.1 Preparation
8.1.1.1 Configure the network settings
When selecting a device other than the USB connected computer as the output destination, use the unit's
LCD to configure the network settings.
If already connected to the network, it is unnecessary to configure these settings.
For details about configuration, refer to "15.2 Perform Network Settings with USB Connection" (page 136).
8.1.1.2 Configure the settings when outputting to "Email"
1. Launch Configuration Web.
• For details, refer to "12.1 Launch Configuration Web" (page 93).
2. Open the [Server] tab.
3. Configure the "SMTP" (page 107) settings.
4. Open the [Scan] tab.
5. Configure the "Address Book (Email)" (page 104).
Note
• The scanner's host name will be used for the email subject. You can append additional text to the host
name for the subject.
When scan by specifying a preset, see (page 103).
When scan by specifying "Output to" and the scan settings on the home screen, configure the
following settings.
i. Touch the icon ( ) on the home screen. [Function Setting]
ii. Configure the "Email Subject".
8.1.1.3 Configure the settings when outputting to "FTP"
1. Launch Configuration Web.
• For details, refer to "12.1 Launch Configuration Web" (page 93).
2. Open the [Server] tab.
3. Configure the "FTP" (page 108) settings.
