Helpful
hint
for
setting
the
dialing
mode:
1.
Ensure
that
the
dialing
mode
selector
is
set
to
TONE.
2.
Lift
the
handset
or
press
the
SP-PHONE
button,
then
listen
for
the
dial
tone.
3.
Dial
a
familiar
number.
4.
If
the
call
is
successful,
the
unit
is
connected
to
a
tone
exchange.
Leave
the
selector
set
to
TONE.
5.
If
the
call
is
not
successful,
the
unit
is
connected
to
a
pulse
exchange.
Switch
the
selector
to
PULSE.
Notes:
e
We
recommend
the
use
of
an
exclusive
power
outlet
to
avoid
interference
from
other
equipment.
e
When
you
operate
this
product,
the
socket
outlet
should
be
near
the
product
and
be
easily
accessible.
e
The
unit
will
not
function
during
a
power
failure.
e
For
additional
equipment
protection,
we
recommend
the
use
of
a
surge
protector.
